Advantage Of using Namecheap Hosting

Namecheap is popular for its free domain, easy-to-use migrations, and additional plan features like copies. Read more on Shopper Reviewed

1. Namecheap Provides Free Domain Name And Migration

When it comes to domain names, Namecheap is an excellent choice. They are primarily known for being a leading domain registrar, after all.

Therefore, it only makes sense that they will happily throw you in if you register for their web hosting plan. If you currently have a website set up somewhere else, they will also help you migrate your website free of charge. Don’t you think that sounds like a good deal?

2. You Must Know How to Compare Hosting Prices

When comparing different cheap web hosting services,  Namecheap hosting takes pride in its pricing. It is shockingly inexpensive. However, just because a service is cheap, does not mean it comes with great worth. This is why it is very important for you to observe how a hosting service is priced and organized.

As you might already know, all web hosting companies are basically selling the same thing. They sell a house for your website. Of course, they have different strategies with different bonuses, various caps, and distinct renewal rates; but if you look closely, you will notice the difference of one service provider with another.

This difference will help you determine which cheap web hosting services will work the best for you and your interest.

Let’s break things down to Core hosting features and Bonus hosting features.

The Core hosting features will consist of the 3D which stands for domains, databases, and disc space. The Core goal of a hosting server would be to function site files when somebody types in your domain.

  • Domains are the number of domains that you will be able to point to your hosting accounts. If you would like to have many websites, you are going to want to have several domain names enabled. You will also have to appear at email addresses on each domain — sometimes these can also be restricted.
  • Databases are the number of parts of web site software that is possible to run on your own hosting server.
  • Disk distance is how many documents you can put in your own server. These include pictures, text, PDFs, etc..
  • Other attributes could consist of anything from site builder applications to marketing credits to backend software, etc..

One of the most popular domains hosting tricks is to offer you a very small first-year cost to get you to sign up and then jack it up when you renew. But even NameCheap’s renewal pricing is very inexpensive. For just $7.98 per year, you can get a .com TLD domain.

3. Namecheap Provides Best Customer Support

You’re also fairly well covered in terms of customer service. They have an excellent live chat function that works very quickly and is highly reliable. They also have loads of useful YouTube videos to guide you through some of the most popular domain hosting problems. Here’s an example:

4. Namecheap Interface is Easy to use

Their account page is simple to navigate, and unlike many of their rivals, they’re not constantly trying to upsell you at every point of the processor to clutter your website with deals that you’re not interested in.

And the interface where your domain names are effectively managed is very intuitive. You’ve lined up all your options in a clean sidebar so the entire page won’t get cluttered. It’s highly safe, more importantly. To date, the domain manager of NameCheap has never been hacked and not all of its competitors can say the same thing. In their hosting plans, they also include privacy protection so you don’t have to purchase it as an additional function.

5. Namecheap Gives High-Security Protection

You get one free year of their WhoisGuard Privacy Protection Service with each domain recorded on NameCheap. And it’s just an additional $2.88 per year to maintain it after that free year. You will also receive a first-year discount on the Certificate of Comodo PositiveSSL. And each account contains significant notifications of safety sent straight to your email.

6. Namecheap Provides Strong Backup and Best Security Features

It’s easy to forget about backing up your website and keeping it stable. It is always a great idea to conduct your personal copies no matter what the situation might be. However, with all the things that are needed to construct a site, it’s easy to overlook backing up your website. That is why it’s good to have Namecheap’s copies as a backup.

Regardless of which  Namecheap hosting package you select, the backups run two times every week. Normally, this can be an add-on provider, or the copies are rather limited. However, Namecheap’s copies are astoundingly in-depth.

Now, what about maintaining your website security?

You can find Namecheap offering

  • IP blocker tool
  • HotLink protection
  • Leech Protect
  • SSL Certificate

However, the SSL certificates are not available any of Namecheap hosting packages as part of the deals. It is something that you will need to buy separately. But in certain cases, you might find Namecheap running a special deal where they offer a free SSL certificate when you register for an account.

7. Backups & Datacenter Choices of Namecheap

Namecheap also offers a few bonus features as well.

At sign up, they provide a choice involving their US data center or UK information center. This makes them a fantastic pick for non-US customers that are serving web traffic nearer to this UK compared to the United States.

Namecheap hosting additionally does two times weekly copies of your hosting accounts. It is very beneficial that you use Namecheap’s copies service as it is a fantastic safety net to get. The best part is that copies are also included for free with Namecheap hosting packages.

Normally, copies are considered a limited bonus feature at other web hosting services like Internet Hosting Hub, Dreamhost or even HostGator.

The disadvantage of using Namecheap

The disadvantage of using Namecheap | Namecheap Review

If you’re looking for the absolute cheapest deal right now and don’t plan to keep your domain for more than a year, you can find other domain hosting services with lower introductory prices, and since you don’t need to renew them, it doesn’t matter what those other services would pay for a renewal.

When it comes to cheap web hosting services, there are three main categories that we need to consider:
  • Uptime
  • Speed
  • Service

Unfortunately, based on our experience,  Namecheap does not deliver very well in all three categories. Read to learn more.

1. Namecheap Hosting Has A Poor Uptime At 99.87percent

NameCheap average uptime 2019 | Namecheap Review

Generally speaking, Namecheap could produce a leading uptime of 100 percent. But you are looking at a chance that Namecheap will generate an uptime of just 99,875 percent on multiple occasions. That has fallen below the average sector,

2. Namecheap Hosting Has A Slow Load Time

The next main criteria after the bandwidth are the rate.

The main reason it is so important is that the rate has been directly connected with customer happiness. Google recently discovered that the likelihood of somebody rebounding increases over 100% of your pages takes around six minutes to load.

So yes, you still want your website to remain live at all times.

3. Not the cheapest short term solution

So NameCheap is not necessarily the first option for short-term domain hosting. And if you’re a fan of bells and whistles, you might feel a little disappointed with NameCheap’s products. They concentrate on the more technical and practical characteristics you really need.

But sometimes those fancy extras are what you need. And in that situation, you might want to consider a different domain hosting service.

4. Namecheap Doesn’t Provide phone support

One final point worth mentioning although it’s only a minor drawback: they lack phone support. Their live chat online works fantastically so this is not a huge issue. But some people do prefer to talk to a person on the phone. And you will miss that with NameCheap review.

Namecheap Domain Plans offered

Here are some of the most common facilities from NameCheap review in the market for domain hosting:

Lowest Cost Domain Registration

Namecheap domain pricing | Namecheap Review

Our domain name is the first thing individuals see when they visit your site so you need to make sure it’s registered and secure. NameCheap provides introductory prices as low as $1.88 for the first year. The $1.88 alternatives are not.com or any of the other big ones, but you can choose from alternatives such as as.info,.pro,.club,.men,.us, and so on. For some of these, the renewal year cost is still only 88 cents!

For premium domains, such as as.com, the introductory year is $7.98. If you sign up for a multi-year agreement, you can keep your annual price down. For example, registering the domain for 5 or more rates will lock down an annual rate of just $10.29!

Get Cheap Personal Domains from Namecheap up 85% Off

Creating your own website is one of the most significant components of branding yourself. With a private domain, you can send and obtain messages from a personalized domain! Imagine seeing “your.name@your.name.com” here! This provides you a very professional look, improves your visibility and maintains your reputation.

It’s also very important if you’re attempting to market yourself or even your company. Personal domains show the crowd that you are professional, legitimate and reliable.

Do We Recommend Namecheap?

Not really…

Look:

They began off surprisingly well. Existing clients seem to like them, and the fact that their cheapest plan compares positively with most other upper-tier companies seemed promising.

Despite this, the fact that your renewal rates will increase by more than 300 percent is hard on your stomach. Particularly when you consider bad uptime, constantly slow speeds, and borderline lazy customer support.

There are so many better alternatives out there that offer better service at the same cost (or less after the first year).

Wow, I am officially going to switch to Namecheap for all my domains. Boggles my mind how someone thought that was a good way to talk to someone who reviews their service AND that potential customers might read it. Seriously, been with GoDaddy for almost a decade, and have had many of the issues mentioned above but until today, wasn’t interested in the hassle of switching. Timing is perfect, Namecheap sent me an email about switching earlier today. Starting that now and you perfectly explain namecheap review
